The first model targeting residential home use will sell for below $2000
Surprising few are known at this time. One is a chinese company called yarbo (price is $10,000) ; the 2nd one is still in development – called Snowbotix
The plan is to have one in production by 2026. Initial sales will be in USA only.Â
At this point it is only the founder with no employees. Once the product matures and investment comes in, I will add much needed resources – starting with engineering.
- The idea has strong appeal – no need to convince people that this is a great idea,
- Investors do not like the development time 🙂 – so the development continues on a shoestring budget and resources
- Coversations with two large snowblower OEM’s based in USA have been positive. I have been asked to comeback when the MVP is ready.
- Winning a startup pitch competition in July 2023 (New Enterprise Foundation, Ann Arbor) introduced me to a whole new world of startup eco-system.
